About Me

Growing up in Alaska, I always had the utmost reverence for nature in all of its wild, beautiful, and (at times) dangerous glory.

While I now live in a much bigger city, Seattle, I seek out every opportunity I can to connect with nature and appreciate the incredible diversity of life all around us.  Within a few hours drive, one can encounter a vast number of habitats - and come across hundreds of animal species that have found a way to co-exist with us on this pale blue dot.

Birds, in particular, have captured my imagination in recent years.  For most of my life, I took them for granted and barely noticed their presence, but once I started paying attention, I was blown away by the sheer number of winged wonders that live all around us - and became obsessed with capturing images of as many as possible.

​

While I'm still honing my craft, and look up to the masters who have many more years than myself photographing the wild world around us, I appreciate you stopping by my gallery, nonetheless, and would welcome any comments, questions, or other expressions of camaraderie you might choose to share on my "contact" page.
